Z Brick Oven Pizza Huntington

Great food....the rest is a little lacking. We just moved to Huntington a few months ago and have been trying all the local restaurants. We decided to try Z Brick for dinner and our first impression wasn't all that great. We walked in and the place was completely empty. I think it was about 8pm.

After studying the menu for a few minutes we had a few questions. None of which the guy taking our order could answer without looking at the menu. We place our order and I went to fill our drinks. No ice in the machine. Had to wait a few minutes for them to get ice out of the back.

As we were waiting for our food I counted 14 light bulbs that were out in the dining room. Every table had a "condiment caddy" on it and for the most part they were all empty. A few had salt and pepper. None had parmesan or crushed red pepper shakers which are usually standard in an Italian place. So far we were very worried about this dining experience.

Once the food came out, our opinion changed. It was GREAT! The salads werent anything special but they were very fresh and the dressing was good. The pizza and my sandwich were wonderful.

Our overall impression is that Z Brick Oven has great food but they really need to focus on the interior of the restaurant. Maybe they don't have much dine-in business and that explains the condition of the dining room. But, if you make it more appealing with just some basic housekeeping maybe you would have more people wanting to sit down and have a meal.
